What can I say about Andrew & Delena’s wedding? It’s hard not to rave for hours, but I will say that it’s definitely been one of my favourite places to photograph two people get married!
When I was younger, every year my family and I would travel to the Sunshine Coast in the summer for our annual holiday. Most times we would go there via Somerset Dam driving all those curves and bends that wind around the dam. Going even further back in time, my grandfather used to take us fishing underneath a bridge not far from the dam (a few photos are actually very close to that bridge). I have found memories of the region so I was really excited to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding here. The scenery of the area are etched into my memories and it was such a great feeling capturing photographs there that would one day be beautiful memories for somebody else.
Andrew got ready at “Perko’s Place” and Delena at “Somerhouse”. Both were very close to each other so it was easy to flick back and forwards between house and photograph both of them. The ceremony was at the Caboonbah Church and the reception at Coronation Hall.
I won’t talk too much more about the wedding, I want to let the photos do the talking… *hands the mic over*
